still life with vegetables

Overall a fantastic piece of work, my only criticism with this painting is the heavy dark background. I think for you to make it work, incorporate deeper shadows within the still life so that the objects don't overwhelm the viewer with too much light. Take a look at Caravaggio's work, and his over dramatization on chiaroscuro. All in all it does create a visible contrast and a great piece that's extremely well done. I'm working on my critiques so let me know if this was at all helpful, or if I'm completely off the page on this one. Again I'm not one to criticize because this is amazing, I just want to see if this is helpful at all.
